The total number of seats available as for now in NDA is 355. The seats are divided equally in Army, Navy, and Airforce. The candidates can look up to the designated position and then prepare for the examination keeping in mind the total number of available seats.

The divisions in the various sectors are as follows.

Army sector will have a total division of 195 followed by Navy which will have a total vacancy of 39 seats. The Air Force has a total of 66 seats available for the candidates who wish to appear for the position.

The notification for the examination will be announced somewhere between the months of October and November. If it does not comes out by then it sure is to come up by the month of April and May.

The examinations will be conducted in the month of April and May itself. The process can stretch the examination to the month of September and October.

NDA 2018 Exam Pattern

The NDA examination pattern will include a written examination which will be followed by a final interview round that will be held to select the final students who have been selected for the National Defense Academy.

The NDA examination paper will generally have two sections. These two sections will be mathematics and general ability test.

  1. The mathematics examination will be an objective type examination and will hold a total of 300 marks.

  3. Therefore the total marks for written examination will be 900. For the interview process, the total marks that have been allotted are 900.

NDA Exam Eligibility Criteria

NDA Age Limit

For the aspiring candidates who are looking forward to participating in the NDA exams, it is important to keep the following eligibility rules in mind. The candidate appearing in the exams must hold a minimum of 21 years of age and a maximum of 35 years as of December 21st, 2017.

All the relaxation age for all the concerned categories are mentioned below.

  • The scheduled caste or scheduled tribe will ever relaxation age of 5 years.
  • The other backward classes will have Age relaxation of 3 years.
  • The defense personnel services will have Age relaxation of 3 years.
  • The disabled categories like blind, handicapped will have an age relaxation of 10 years

Nationality

  • The candidates appearing for the NDA exam must fulfill the nationality criteria as it is most important for them. The candidates looking forward to giving the NDA exam must be a citizen of India to be eligible for successfully sitting in the NDA exam for the present year.
  • The appearing candidates can also be a citizen of Nepal or Bhutan.
  • The aspirants of NDA can also be a Tibetan refugee who has visited India before the given deadline that is 1st January 1962 and are currently permanently settled in India.
  • The NDA candidates must be from an Indian Origin or someone who has migrated from the following countries: Kenya, Ethiopia, Malawi, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Zaire, Zambia, Pakistan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

NDA 2018 Educational Qualifications

All the aspiring candidates appearing for the National Defense Academy examinations are required to fulfill the following criteria.

  • The aspirants are required to hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university.
  • The candidates who already have made an appearance for the examination and are waiting up for the results all those candidates who are yet to sit for an examination, are also completely eligible to look forward to the preliminary examination. All that is needed from the students are approve of their examination passing certificate along with the account that has been issued for the Mains examination.
  • The candidates who have professional as well as technical knowledge or hold a qualification from any recognized University are also eligible to apply for the UPSC examinations.
  • The students who have successfully passed their final year of medical examination for MBBS can look forward to participating in the Mains examination. All that is needed from these candidates is a passing certificate prove that they have finished their medical examination in the final year.

NDA 2018 Admit Card

Admit card for the NDA examination will be made available to the candidates just before their written examination. The written examination will be conducted in the month of October and most probably the admit cards will be issued just a week ago the examinations.

The appearing candidates are required to keep an eye on the official website of National Defense Academy in order to download the admit cards and get a printout of the same. The students are required to carry the admit cards in the examination hall otherwise they will not be allowed to sit and proceed further with their examination.
