The Prelims exam of NICL AO is now over. The time now calls for the prelims analysis. The overall exam was okay and so was the paper. There was a blend of questions that asked about various details of all the sections. As we know, there are basically three sections in NICL AO Prelim exams and they include English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. There were a total of 30 questions in English and 35 each in Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The total time limit to finish the paper was 100 minutes.

NICL AO Examination Centre

The total number of states and union territories that are included are 33. However there are different centres for Phase II includes cities like Guwahati, Assam, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Chennai, Bhopal, and so on.

NICL AO Recruitment

The process of selection for NICL AO will consist of two examinations which are Prelims and Mains. Then further it will be followed descriptive test and Interview. It is necessary for candidates to acquire a minimum score for every section individually. That is how the eligible candidates will reach the descriptive test round. However, there is no separate cut-off mark for the descriptive paper.

NICL AO Eligibility

Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age:
30 years

The date of birth of candidates must lie between 2nd March 2017 and 1st March 1996. (Inclusive of both dates)

NICL AO Qualification

The minimum aggregate mark that is required to be eligible to sit for the examination is 60% in any degree. The same for the SC/ST is 55%

NICL AO Examination Pattern

The Preliminary Exam – Phase I

The preliminary online objective test would consist of a total of 100 marks and the same would continue for an hour. The three sections included in the Phase – I are as follows:

  • English Language – The total marks of the subject is 30
  • Reasoning Ability – The total marks of the subject is 30
  • Quantitative Aptitude – The total marks of the subject is 30

The objective test will be held in bilingual language. Hence, the student can give their exams either in Hindi or English.

The Mains Exam – Phase I

The Main examination is a blend of Objective Test and Descriptive Test. The Objective test consists of 200 marks and the descriptive test consists of 30 marks. Both these tests will be online. The completion of the objective test will be followed by a descriptive test.

Interview – Phase III
