Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has declared that the UP Board Results for Class 10th and 12th will be declared on the 9th of June.

A general trend that has been followed in the last two years will be neglected, and the results shall be declared on a weekday which is Friday. Finally, the day arrives for which nearly 60 lakh students have been waiting.

The results have been delayed by about 20 days this year. UP Board Chairman Amarnath Verma has confirmed the result date to be 9th June and has also confirmed that the final declaration will be from the Allahabad office of the Board.

The wait will extend due to the cases of mass cheating which were reported at some of the centres.

As such, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has cancelled examinations of several subjects at 54 centres.

In addition to this, 57 of the centres have been debarred which have facilitated the mass cheating. FIR has been lodged against 111 centre superintendents and 178 invigilators.

Deputy Chief Minister, who is also the second education minister, Dinesh Sharma, is now trying to monitor the situation closely, as to which he has also issued several helplines to report cases of cheating at any of the examination centres.

Nearly 60 lakh students have been waiting for the UP Board Results. The exams were postponed this year due to the UP assembly elections.

As a result, the normal tradition of the declaration of results in May will also not occur; rather the date has been postponed to June.

The UP Board Results for High School as well as for Intermediate had been postponed a lot and was tentatively set to be in the second or third week of June 2017.

As of now, the official confirmation has been received from the UPMSP that the results shall now be declared on the 9th of June 2017. Last year, these results were declared on 15th of May, 2016.
